    @Unchained 5150 here are some pictures. It is right to the edge. You can see where it is hitting on the one side. It closes fine. So not going to worry to much.

    It's hitting because you didn't put the gasket on the vertical face of the tailgate, and now the cap is too far forward.

    With the gasket on the back of the tailgate, it won't even be close to the bolts.

    I put it all on the top after I could not get it to fit with it on the facing side.

    One piece needs to be on the vertical surface of the gate, and one needs to be on top, on the flat surface.

    Re adjusted the gasket material. That seems to have fixed the issue of rubbing the bolts.
