Just remove them and spray down with some brake clean. Shops don't like having to get grease or oily substances off parts they are going to process. I would think that they would want them disassembled as well. No rubber in them. Best bet is to call the shop you are going to and ask them though. Every owner has their own preferences. I know if I was going to process them I would want them brake fluid free. My stuff would not require them to be taken apart, but I'm not baking them either. I just do water transfer printing. If you don't want to take them off and go through the whole ordeal of bleeding and what not, you can get a ceramic paint that is very hard and will withstand the heat. It would be a lot cheaper to DIY I would think. Maybe you are getting a deal from a buddy or something though too. That's my opinion. Best of luck.

I was going to get mine powder coated as well but didn't want to go through all the extra work with bleeding and having to take them off. I just got some duplicolor red and painted them a few coats. they're shiny and look good but you're not going to mistake them for a set of red brembos off of a 911 carrera.

good to know guys. I was originally going to paint them myself but had a coworker talk me out of it. Looks like i will revisit that idea again. When painting myself do i just need to take them off the rotor, tape up the insides and spray away or is there more to it? thanks for your responses by the way!

Just use paint, I used flat black, to make them disappear in the back ground. Be careful around the rotor, when your all done, use acetone to wipe clean the rotors and the paint or over spray is gone. While your under there, spray undercoat in the wells.

The rubber seals will not survive the powdercoat oven. If you decide to PC them, make sure you pull out all the seals first. Like the others said, it's MUCH easier to use a caliper paint product. If you paint them though, please don't just spray paint them while installed on the truck. That always looks like poo.
