blast from the past, i called up the aci down in florence to talk to them about powder coating. anyways, from the time you drop off your item, a quote is then given, you need to accept or deny the quote then get the item worked on. the estimated turn around i was told today was ~35 days. so if you consider this as an option, keep in mind that this not something that will get done quickly

I have used Glendale Powder Coating a few times and they are fair on price and fast on the work.

I wonder if the boy's at Florence can do TSB work on my truck?
I like the idea, how much per wheel do they charge?

Intentionally resurrecting this thread so I don't start up another... I think its good to keep powdercoating in one thread.

I'd like to powdercoat my stock wheels but I'm curious how others did it. Did you have an additional set of tires\wheels you ran on while the work was done? I can't see myself being able to wait 30 days, so APC or someone in the East valley will prob have to do.

Anyone heard stuff about the PC process weakening the wheel?

I haven't decided 100% on it yet though.

I hate to post on such an old thread but I had a few questions. I only have the set of wheel on my truck, does anyone know of a place that will separate the tires and has a really short turn around time?

Well I'll chime in here. I run my powdercoat shop out of my garage. All my parts and wheels are sent to get chemical stripped. That is usually one day turn around. For basic colors I can get them local and custom colors in three business days.
Wheels-15-18"-250.00 single stage basic colors- Black,Red, Blue, Orange
350.00 two stage custom colors- chrome, candies and top coats

My oven is 42" wide36" deep 5ft tall inside. Not sure a bumper will fit unless it comes apart then maybe. But if it don't fit I have a buddy that has a bigger oven
