My new Sierra has them, and a whole lot of other things a $32k vehicle should have like heated side mirrors, 8 way power seats with power lumbar and auto UP windows as well as down. Oh, and a factory remote start, not some aftermarket Viper bullshit.

Just trying to help you think outside the box. You seem fixated on one solution. It is easy to fall into the trap of our own bias.

Sorry OP to upset you, just a fun. Just funny from us here in the North East - we say "Texas - everything is bigger in Texas". So to see a over sized truck in a compact spot, which is in Texas cracked me up.

Funny thing is, I was thinking, my Dad still has his 2004 Avalanche, hunting vehicle now, and it has power folding mirrors. No dog in this fight, just throwing that out there. Get a yard stick with a hook on the end of it. Problem solved.

Jethro - the TRD, or at least my Sport, has the two front windows one touch up and down and heated mirrors, which come in handy here in Southern, NH as you know.

OP, as mentioned you are not the only person that parks in a parking garage. My truck fits fine in compact car spots and have never had an issue or reason to fold my mirrors. Our garage is so compact that the middle section is double parking. So you have 4 rows of cars all double parked and you have to leave your keys with an attendant if you are parked on the outside rows

The mirrors on an F250 make sense especially if they were tow mirrors but not on a Tacoma.

If you can mod them then go ahead but please don’t imply they are really needed and you are the only one that parks in small spaces

We're just poking fun at you @Tacoaric . No hard feelings.

Lots of us have had other trucks or bigger trucks. I used to drive a 26 foot box truck for work back and forth from Atlanta to DC. DC is terrible with a big truck. However, that doesn't change how I feel about folding mirrors. It's just not something for me.

Regardless, thanks for sharing what they're for. I learned something today.

I'm gonna jump in and say I would love some of those fancy auto tinting side view mirrors like my dad has in his F 150 platinum.

Power folding mirrors = just another gimmick and something else to fail down the road.

I'm with OP. Work parking lot sucks, people waking between vehicles knock side mirrors around all the time. I'm glad that these break away so they aren't damaged, but it sucks to pull out and head down the road and then notice that my passenger side mirror is out of whack. I doubt I'd pay much extra for power folding mirrors, but I know that I would use them every day.

I’ve had 8 vehicles with them in the last 5 years, none of them ever broke.. I’m not sure what’s gimmicky about power fold mirrors?

Must be nice not having to squeeze through trees on the trail...No need for folding power ones, just ask my passenger and to fold that side and I fold mine before the ass clenching.

Have you even owned a vehicle long enough to test it out. In the last 8 years Ive owned 4 and still have 2....

Regardless of opinion, I would have a concern about long term reliability of the motors and stuff

My 2011 F150 lasted 2.5ish years. Never skipped a beat.

I’ve had 12 vehicles in the last 7.5 years not including my 8-10 flip jeeps on the side lol
