Have you added power folding mirrors to your Tacoma? Looking at the ones available on the Tacoma Lifestyle site. Just curious if antone has bought this kit and installed.

Have the folding mirrors for a couple years now with no problems.. I did have to tighten the bolts that connects the mirror and base..

I installed a set. I like them. They can make a nice confirmation the doors are locked, when you check out the house window. It is nice to manually fold them up when at a drive through window or drive-up drop box. It is also fun to fold and open them at on the road to "wave" at other Tacoma owners.

In the end, I would say the cost does outweigh the minor convenience gained, but I wouldn't try to talk anyone out of the idea either.

They do come with some installation trials. It could be done in a couple hours, but I would plan for all day. There are a couple threads, (now locked), where the topic is discussed. There are some good lessons learned in them, that may reduce the stress level during installation.
As a note, if you love in Northern climate, I would recommend a kill switch for the winter months to save wear and tear on the motors, when it ices up outside.

So, the bezel around the mirror switch, did that come with the kit or did you have to modify the one on your door?

The bezel comes as part of the kit. I've got it, just not installed yet.

I wouldn't go for it. Tacos are not nearly as big as the Tundra, in most cases unless a full-sized truck or oversized SUV is parks next to you. If they do get too close, the Viper alarm will let them know about it.
