Time to ask for help :frusty:. Wanted to get the boy some time on a manual (my '92) but I can't get the truck to start... it recognizes the key being in (buzzer), but nothing happens when the key is turned. No acc, and definitely no fuel pump/starter. The headlights and hazards work, but thats it, no gauges (battery included). So, I've replaced the battery, ignition cylinder, and just now the ignition switch. No dice. I'm at a loss at this point, as electrical is generally the most beyond my comprehension. Any input greatly appreciated!

With no click I would start by giving a few taps on the starter solenoid, it might be jammed.

The starter isn't getting power. The dash doesn't even light up.

Exactly. The starter solenoid is what makes that happen. If it isn't switching, then either it isn't getting power from the ignition,or it's jammed.

It isn't getting power from the ignition. Neither is the dash panel.

I have checked all of those already. I posted this because I have exhausted all the obvious avenues. I did use to work on cars back when but this is where I tap.

Lol. No worries. I like to start with the basics.

That said, do you have a wiring diagram? Only real option now is to pull out the meter and start testing places where there should be power.

It could be so many different things .

Has the truck been sitting for some time??

Just failed to crank after a few days ??

This is a 3.0 or has a 3.4 been swapped in?

    Manual or Auto??

Start at the battery and measure voltage through the cranking circuit go from there.

Good clean and tight battery terminals ? Hidden Corrosion under insulation ?

Lol man I know. One of the many reasons i hate this side of vehicles. It has been sitting for a while, but not ridiculouslyong or anything. Manual 3.0 no swap. Brand new terminals as well
