Hi all...I have a 2005 Tacoma. 4x4 with 175k miles. I had noticed my fog logs flashing one night a bout a month ago, as if someone was using the key fob, thought is was strange. Went out and unhooked the battery for the night and hooked it up in am, and never seemed to happen again..... Except...
Last night I had a guest staying in the drive way, and at 2 am he wakes me up to say your truck is shorting out and I should come out to look at it.
Out I go. The power lock were going on and off frantically about 2x per second, with the lights flashing as if the fob was being used very fast.
My fob was replaced this spring...
I open the fob and take the battery keeps doing it
Then I pull the fuse for the power locks... The locks stop working but the lights keep flashing as before I pulled the fuse.
    No sure what to do.
I did have a new fob installed... Other than that nothing has changed. I did take the battery out of the fob when this was happening, and it kept going
The truck does have the trailer package, also brake lit wiring to the canopy.
Thanks in advance for your advice...
