    ummm......

    Not wanting more power?
What is this, I have never heard this phrase before.
If I had a Caparo T1, I would still want more power!

How slow are you driving on the interstate uphill? I have no downshift problems going uphill on the interstate, even while towing my boat.

I wouldn't mind a little more, but that's because I just got out of a 300 hp SRT-4 Neon. It was pretty quick... I got spoiled.

I voted needs a little more stock. That was why I put in the AFE CAI and now its ok, but I'm always wanting more from my vehicles go figure...its the mod bug.

Fonty has the tacoma though in power, I hope Yota steps up to the plate with a 6 speed auto that is like the Tundra to give us 6th gear hwy gear for the mpg, but more launch/torque down low 1-4 gears. :D

It's a great motor. But are you sure you had a 7.3 powerstroke? I had a 97 f350 PSD with a 5 speed and I have never felt so much power in my life. That thing would pull the old off of grandma.

I am actually pleasantly surprised by the power of the 4.0 in this truck. It scoots pretty well...more than well enough to want any more for what I need.

I am coming off of a 2002 Ford Lightning that had around 400HP and 450 ft lbs of torque :D The torque in that truck was severely addicting, hehe :)

You might be on to something there...I usually keep it right around 63-66 mph...Maybe I should push the go pedal a little harder? :D

These aren't steep 6% grades either, just normal inclines that you see everywhere on the interstate.

No, he isn't because that simply isn't true. I had one back in the day and there's just no way. I guess maybe his is in disrepair, then.

A last gen 5.0 was listed as just under 7.0 sec 0-60 out of the box. They are probably close.

Sure until you do a couple bolt on's and change the rear end gear to a 373:1 :D There are NO stock 5.0's left on the planet...unless they are hidden away in a garage. :p

    I can't really comment
since I don't have mine yet, but form all the test drives
with guys in the car, it seemed pretty good on power. But I also thought the Mazda3 had some good pwer when I test drove it with 3 people in the car...the Taco has MUCH better power to weight than Mazda's 3.

But you sure it has more power than that 7.3L diesel?
The 5.4L Ford has in the Expeditions does do some awesome stuff too. From my experience.

Correct. Saying it was faster than a 5.0 was a vague statement. Although from my experience a pre 94 5.0 just spun the rear tires regardless of what was under the hood.

I think the 4.0 is a pretty good motor. Smooth and decent power without feeling like it is over tweaked and I don't have any of that traction control B.S. so its even more fun.
