Power on at key.

Does anyone know where on a 2012 can I find a fuse that gets power when the key is turned? Would prefer one under the hood, but under that dash would be fine.

 

Fuel pump. That's where they have you tap in for the intercooler pump when you supercharge. Just try a test light on a few...

 

cigarette lighter plug?

 

I would avoid tapping into a critical system, like EFI or ignition.

 

This. I forget which fuse it runs on but that's the way I would go.

 

Thanks. I am just lighting some LED on the front so I will avoid critical systems. Will post a pic when I get them wired in. They are in the panel underneath the headlights.

 

On my 99 Taco, both the fuse and relay for the power outlets are in the 'under hood' fuse box. The power outlets are activated with the key in the ACC position.

 

I got it. I used the accessories fuse under the dash. Works like a charm.
