I have a 13 trd sport with jbl stereo. Under the heat control knobs is 2 power outlets the passenger side 1 is not working. Ideas? I'm new to the Tacoma only had it for a week.

    check fuses?

mines works on and off because the connector is bad.....where it plugs into the actual power outlet.

check that they are plugged in properly

They both get their power and ground from the same source.
There a small possibility it’s a wiring issue, but I’d say the socket itself is more than likely the problem.

Start by checking the fuse. It's probably behind the drop down cubby left below the steering wheel.

cig lighter port fuses can easily be blown by overloading/overdrawing them plugging in something that takes more power than it can provide, whether that be a device, or even just a shitty adapter thing plugging into it, which can even fail itself internally

get a decent pack of assorted fuses and keep in the truck for emergency repair. They're small, light, and you never know when one is gonna go out on the road.

Thanks it's not the fuse or relay. So it looks like I'll be ripping the dash apart to take a peek! I also have p0333 code suspect critters chewed on wires since it was sitting in the Georgia mountains for a year, and there was a nest in the heating system.
