I recently bought a 2013 Tacoma and the power ports (12 volt, cig lighter etc) does not work. I have changed the fuse out. What is the next step? Can you lead me to a you tube video or tell me what to do next? They seem to have been somewhat abused in their last life. Loose and no caps on it. No electrical knowledge here.
Thanks for your help in adavance

    welcome,

they only have power when the key is on, just making sure you are aware of this.

pulling the lower dash and checking the connectors on the back of them would be the next step:
    a) they are connected
    b) they are not burnt
    c) there is power on the wire coming to the plugs, you will need at least a test light if not a multi-meter
c1) no power will need to trace the wire all the way back to the fuse
c2) if power then the plugs are probably shot

Buy a test light and cheap harbor freight multitester with audible connectivity option.
    1) probe the 15a fuse that you swapped out to make sure there’s power.
    2) turn ign on and probe the center of the cig socket for power. If power, you need to replace socket.
    3) if no power at socket, remove the socket and probe for power at the connector. If power, replace socket. If no power at connector, check wire connectivity between fuse and cig connector with the multitester.
Its likely you just need new sockets due to being worn and getting bad connections when plugged in.
