    Because reg cab.........always within reach.

This feature should have trickled down to Tacomas before 2017. The Tundra whole roll down should have too.......especially for the price of these trucks.

In a AC cab, it's no more in reach than in a DC, in terms of practicality. I still have to unbuckle and climb half way into the back area to reach it (and even then, it's not an easy open). Thus, I'd still need to be parked and not going anywhere before I open it.

That isn't a valid excuse to not have it in an AC.

What? In a regular dab you can't reach over your should and open the slider?o_O I did it all the time in my access cab. Oh and love my powered slider in my 17 double cab.

Are we talking about the same thing? There is no regular cab on the 3rd gens. For the access cab, if I just reach back (without unbuckling and turning all the way around), the window is still like another 1+ feet away. Unless you have incredibly long arms, or have the seat way back, there is no way on an AC to just reach over your shoulder and open the glass.

Either way, it's a moot point. By that logic, why even have power side windows?

It is pretty slick. I have used it for 18' or long lumber and slides right through - don't have a rack.

Well I guess I'm not sure, what I quoted was you saying in a regular cab (to me just front seats) there was no more reach than a double cab. Which I don't understand, and made my statement. And in my 09 aces cab, I used the back window all the time, I frequently would reach back while moving and ajust it, normally close.

Good catch, I meant AC, not regular cab. Brain fart on my part. In the AC, though, I have to unbuckle, completely turn my self around in my seat, and lean by body into the back section. It's a total pain in the ass. I can't imagine anyone being able to just casually reach over their shoulders and reach the back glass and also have enough leverage to actually open it (my window is pretty snug).

At the end of the day, there is no acceptable reason to not have the power rear window on the AC's. Just like the no bed light on the AC's.

When I test drove a new f150 in their version of the AC, not only did it have power rear glass, but the rear side windows also rolled down.

My issue with my 09 was not having freaking intermediate wipers. But this also reminded me that the taco is old proven tech and they didn't push the bells and whistles. I feel with the 3rd gen a lot of these things found their way in, but still at a minimum.

I used to easily reach back and open, close, or adjust the back window in my Access Cabs too. The Power Slider is awesome in my Double Cab, but for some reason I have accidentally left it open 3 or 4 times.

Well yeah, I mean I can do it, but it's a pain in the ass. I don't want to have to unbuckle, lean back there and open it when I should be able to press a freakin button. lol

Yep, left it open way more times already then I think I did in the last truck the whole time I had it. The soft topper hides it as well, so that doesn't help.

The other day I left it open and thankfully got to it before it started raining. Guess I don't notice it the same way I did in the Access Cabs cause it's so much further back.
