Every time I do a track day with my SC 2.4 2x4 tacoma there is power steering fluid all over my engine . I did install a small cooler in the grill to help cool it down and it did make a difference . I do 3 half hour sessions and drive 8/10ths to 10/10ths the entire sessions. Stock ecu ,so it's not revving past the stock reline , 5500 or so . Not sure what it could be other then running it at limit for so long. I have a high performance motor going in soon that may see 6000 + rpm's .I'm sure that won't help .

If it is overheating and boiling over adding a larger cooler isn't hard. Suprised it gets that hot shouldn't really be a whole lot of need for the power steering.

The power steering pump is revving as high and long as the motor , under normal conditions in never sees that kind of rpm's

The factory reservoir is also tiny, I'd probably lean towards modifying it first to give room for fluid expansion. I assume youre using synthetic fluid.

Is the reservoir mounted to the pump on the engine? Spilled oil on a hot motor doesn’t sound very safe, possibly a fire hazard.
How is it set up, pics?

Valvoline synthetic fixed that in my Miata

Was having similar issues in a different application and switched to full synthetic hydraulic tractor fluid. Amsoil or Triax both work good

Valvoline synthetic did the trick! It was low 90's at lime rock and I was doing the best I could trying to keep up with the rest of the field. The big guns were out today ( lots of cars making 300 to 500+ HP )and I was pushing 10/10's in some sections bouncing off the stock rev limiter. Not a drop came out the top of the power steering cap. Thank you for the great advice / I just didn't know about the synthetic fluid and flushing it out worked out well and was easy !
