A bunch a cool stickers, a bada ass MetalMiller Tx Longhorns grill emblem painted Hemi Orange, JBA long tube headers with o2 sims, Diff breather mod, Red LED interior lights, Fancy head unit that plays ipod n movies, Also DIY install factory stuff like, factory cruise control, factory intermittent wipers, OME nitro struts with 886x springs and toy tec top plate, JBA high caster UCA's for better alignmnet and dey beefier too, Old Man Emu Dakar leaf springs in da rear with the gear, U bolt flipper, Ivan Stewart TRD rims with 33" K Bro 2's, some bad ass weather tech floor liners so I don't muck up my interior, an ATO shackle flipper for mo travel in da rear wit the gear, also super shiny Fox 2.0 shocks back there too, all sorts of steal armor for bouncing off of the rocks like demello sliders, AP front skid, trans skid, n transfer skid, demello gas tank skid, and a tough as nails ARB bumper with warn 8k winch, I'm sure there's more
On the steering shaft that goes from the steering wheel to the rack and pinion, there is a joint. Sometimes in binds up due to lack of lubrication. Douse it in your favorite penetrating lube and I'm sure it will free up a bit. You may need to do this a few times over about a weeks time.

wow.... ok. I feel bad for not doing this sooner.

Grabbed a quart of Valvoline Max Life ATF at the auto parts store for 8.03 out the door. Easiest fluid change i have ever done on my truck. 20min from cracking a pre work beer, to cracking the post work beer. Dont go full lock to lock as it will drain past what i would deem safe fluid res level . like 75% to lock each direction was perfect. 1 quart was the perfect amount.

Again easy quick painless job. Ill be doing it as part of my every 30k mile rear diff fluid change regimen.

Just did this over the weekend and it was very easy. I bought the gallon jug and made a huge mess doing it by myself.

Mine started whining about a month ago, and I noticed foam on top. Did a quick flush and refill this weekend and all is well now. I didn't go to the lengths you guys did though as I didn't see anything on the screen. Just pumped out old fluid, put in new, started truck, turned lock to lock a few times, turned off truck, pumped fluid out again, refilled, done.

On my 97 4runner I never changed it until just before I sold it. Fluid was black. Steering was fine.
I used a big syringe to suck it out and then added more several times. Used malwart dexron 2.
My BMW uses this same fluid. Bmw dealer buys the non Bmw non synthetic ordinary.

It takes a lot to ruin one of our PS pumps. My return line rusted through and I drove it atleast 10 miles if not more with no fluid and the pump was fine

"I know you said it doesn't have leaks. Well, it doesn't evaporate either" It does go down a little as the brakes ware.
