    Nah that's not right.

It would be if he orders it well done and it comes out kinda looking rare on the outside. He decides not to cut it open to look at it. Instead he sends it back expecting them to cut it open and look for him then maybe cook it more. Instead of taking minimal effort to spot check it himself with his knife.

    Or something like that... lol

Still we have problems with analogies because in this scenario he clearly deserves nothing more than a punch in the face for ordering a destroyed piece of meat.

Agreed. Well done is a sin. My apologies.

Well the steak is quite obviously raw, because the fluid is going somewhere that isn't in the system. The question at hand is who is responsible for cooking it now? Certainly not I if because I have a warranty stating that if there is anything wrong with this steak it will be fixed by the establishment I purchased it from.

My apologies, the fork is quite obviously dirty and the restaurant should bring you a clean one without any problems... Unless it is managed by the staff in the above video, in which case you will singlehandedly bring about the managers suicide, get attacked by the service department staff, and possibly destroy Toyota.

I don't think anyone is saying he should be fixing it himself. I believe, after reading this whole thread, everyone agrees if its an issue its on Toyota to fix. i think what most people are commenting on is his lack of doing really anything at all. I mean he arguably spent waaaaay more time sitting in his house typing to a forum full of people who are hundreds/thousands of miles away and cant help him instead of taking a few minutes at most to get under the truck.

In the steak scenario i would take very minimal effort to cut the steak open to at least check if its raw. If it is i can then tell the restaurant/chef (the 'experts') that it looks raw so they have something to work on. Regardless of the analogy when i buy a vehicle, no matter how much is spent on it, i try to be as hands on as i can with it. After all, its my money that was spent buying it. I'm going to do everything in my power to either figure it out/fix it myself or at the very least get as much information to those who can fix it. Complaining about it on a forum (and not taking advise of those attempting to assist) would be a distant second for me behind actually looking at the truck.

I'm late to this one but LMFAO. I can't keep up with all the threads on problems with these new trucks. If this is the best Toyota could do with TEN years of R&D I think future Toyota generations are all in trouble.

The fluid won't go down with the truck just sitting in the parking lot.

    Update:

I just picked up the vehicle. Dealer replaced the rack and the pump and said the driver side boot was filling with fluid which was causing the low reservoir and no apparent signs of leak, since the fluid was in the boot. And to all of you who were positive and helpful in this matter I praise you, and well for you trolls of the thread you already know what I am gonna say :lalala:. Long story short I felt I handled the situation appropriately and "like an adult". Sure I was somewhat frustrated at the fact that I had to take in a brand truck in to have warranty work on it performed. I was pissed and may have vented in this thread, I didn't mean to sound whiney I just needed some advice and advice is what I found.

Thank you all. Tacomaworld is probably my overall favorite site on the web.

    OP, thanks for the update.
Hopefully the rack and pump will be trouble free.

I bought a used Ford F150 at an auction years ago and brought it to a Ford dealer to do a thorough test of its components. The day after they gave it a clean bill of health, the starter wouldn't turn over. I opened the hood and found a cauliflower farm on the battery terminals. It was obvious they hadn't even opened the hood.

The dealer fixed his truck. It was leaking into one of the boots so it wasn't dripping.
