Man, that must've been hell to deal with at the time. Glad you got something good now. How many times does the dealership or Toyota have to try to repair an issue with a vehicle before you can declare lemon law?

It's sort of a different situation than some people have here, I bought the truck from a dealership in Denver, and I live in Albuquerque, which there are only two dealerships here so I am working through American.

I am now having the same problem. However I do have a visible leak all over my passenger side boot. I looked due to the fact my power steering was noisy as hell when it was cold out. @dealer currently waiting on diagnosis.

My leak was inside the boot. They didn't find it until they ripped out the rack and disassembled it. Pain in the ass. The also replaced to pump as an extra measure. Good luck man. Very frustrating to be dealing with this on a brand new truck, trust me I know.

I'm glad mine was visible to be honest, I hope it's a simple repair or replace. We will see. Thanks for the post. We patron ably aren't the only ones.

Nope, we are definitely not the only ones I am sure. The steering on these trucks is somewhat finicky anyhow. I love the truck but have always been kinda disappointed with how the steering system on Tacoma's.

wheel spacers, wider rims, oversize tires & offroading don't help steering components out any either.

wow. You got yourself a good deal. I might have to hit them up. Did they drill holes in your bumper for your front license plate? I hate those holes.
