Power Steering Flush Question

So I bought the Valvoline dex/merc atf fluid to do a power steering flush. I bought the blue/purple bottles but I saw everybody used red bottles. Amazon showed me the blue/purple for my truck. Is it ok or should I get the red?

Both are Dexron III compatible. I use the blue bottle since that’s what Toyota calls for, is similarly priced, and widely available.

 

I used the blue one about 3 years ago.
So far, so good.

There must be many thousands of trucks now running the "red bottle" Valvoline ATF and it apparently works just fine. Mine included. Just don't trust any brand of fluid that simply says "power steering fluid" - chances are, it isn't the right one to be using.
