this just started today. truck is 2005 std cab 4x4 with 70K on it. i noticed today that sometimes when turning the steering wheel either direction, it was almost like i hit a rough spot and then all of the sudden the wheel was moving freely. just randomly, never always turning left or right or at whatever speed. best way i can describe it is the wheel was very hard to turn at first, then all of the sudden it was like it was freed up and then turned just like it always does. i checked the p/s fluid level, and its right where it needs to be. anyone else ever have this problem?

hmmm no one? ok how about a theory...is it possible the feeling my power steering is going out or hard to turn be a reflection of the fact that i need to replace both of my front wheel bearings?
