I can’t roll for chit so yea mine!
    But cool it looks good!
Kinda sucks cause you gotta hunt still, I will keep mine clean and greased so it isn’t a issue later.
I did the whole is it leaking, flushed the fluid cleaned the screen.
Then found threads about the lower shaft!
Pretty much found answers to maintaining my taco here.
I enjoy doing it myself but don’t like not knowing what I’m getting into.
Good luck and happy new year.

    Ugh power steering issues suck.

When I first got this truck it had a torn boot on the pax side inner tie rod. Replaced both sides tie rods. Couple months later lost hydro assist, noticed both new boots are full of fluid so probably rack end seals are leaking.
    Fluid is dirty black too.
No power steering at a stand still but if I throw her in neutral and rev I get some hydro assist back but the pump whines when I turn the wheel.

    Steering started feeling weak recently
    doesn’t return to center

have a feeling it might need a rack, pump, and column rebuild
I’ll start by lubing the column shaft u joints

I just opened the outer tie rod clamps to stick a pick tool into the boot to try and pry it open a bit to see if any fluid leaks out. And some did on the passenger side. It was black even though I keep my fluid in good shape with Mobil 1 atf

curious to know if anyone else has gone through this

Seems like a good opportunity to swap in a strong tundra rack
But finding one, rebuilding it, and making it fit looks like a pain and expensive
