I have a leak on my power steering.

When this happened 2 years ago...
The mechanic said I was unlucky because the leak was on a high pressure line that was not removable from the steering rack unit.

A new rack & pinon was installed.

I now have a new leak...
The mechanics says this is just on a return line and they can even just make a hose.

    Does this make sense?

He just took a quick look under the skid plate and seemed very confident.

    Thanks just now.

get some engine degreaser and clean up the area really good. this way, you can see for yourself exactly where the leak is at.

if you can't easily fix it, just remove a little fluid from the resivour and add some power steering stop leak.

i don't remember the brand, but I've have stop leak in my power steering for a few years and it's still not leaking anymore. no problems.
