After replacing my power steering belt, I noticed a swishing noise, like running water, when the wheels are at full lock with the motor running. I turn the wheels against either stop. The truck never made any noise associated with the steering but I've heard the noise on a couple of other cars that I used to have back in the dark ages.

I followed Timmy the Toolman's video on flushing the power steering fluid a few years ago. I'm thinking that I got the belt either a bit too tight or too loose, so before I fiddle with the belt I thought I would check here. Could a new belt be causing the noise?
