Need to change both of mine, but OEM 44410-04030 (includes both hoses) runs $400 or so.

I can get Gates (365872) pressure hose and Gates (365871) return hose for $155 (total for pair)

    What should I do?

Take your old set down to a place that makes hydraulic hoses and ask them to duplicate what you have....

I'd just get the gates ones. Hoses aren't exactly magical.

Will do. I will get the gaskets too. Is that all or do I need the power steering return line end fitting?

I think the return line fitting is just a hose clamp, but its been a few months since i last looked.

I forgot to ask, what is the labor involved in changing both hoses?

    Thanks

I replaced my lines this summer, and I used the Sunsong lines, which ran me about $90. It was not a fun job. Labor wise, I spent probably ~8 hours. But I dropped the rack and replaced the rack bushings, LBJs and outer tie rods. If you can keep the rack in place you could probably replace the lines in the 2-4 hour range. Check out this thread, post #11.

Removing the rear connector at the rack is a giant pain in the butt, which is why I ended up dropping my rack, but if you can make ghack's technique work you should be able to keep the rack in place.

This is the way. Went through the same thing thinking the prices were strangely high. Got mine rebuilt for $17.
