I was under my truck today tightening bolts tracking down a noise. I noticed a leak on what I think is the power steering pump? Anyone ever have this before? Wondering if it’s a slow leak to just keep adding fluid or pull it and try and fix or replace it. Right now my fluid is on the low end of the acceptable range. No squeak or whinny noise.

I’m also wondering if the noise I’m chasing is related, but I doubt it. The noise is a low clunk or thud when turning the wheel in reverse.

I did some searching and it seems very typical of the timing chain leak that is so common. I have to go to the dealer for an unrelated issue on Tuesday so I guess I’ll let them give me the bad news then.
