Has anyone installed power steps on 3rd gen Tacoma? I have tried the search but nothing comes up. Just want to know what they cost/installed and if you like the look, function? Thanks

I cannot understand the purpose for steps into a tacoma. Unless you are 4'3"

Just more motors and electronics to burn out. Might be great for the mall crawling bro scene or a show truck though.

I haven't seen them on a 3G but they absolutely have their purpose, namely short wives, girlfriends, children, hobbits, etc. However, the most popular version provides no rocker protector and will likely not survive the 1st encounter with rocks.

Rock Slide Engineering produces a slider/power step for Jeeps and some trucks. They list Tacoma as a truck they produce for but they do not have a listing for the 3G.

They go great with a procomp or rough country 6inch lift and 20s

Haha! They also go great with icons and American force 20's!

OP I like them and they work great. With three inches of lift, it makes it easier for kiddos to get up in the truck, and they are very low key when they are sucked up.

BTW cost was only about $1,1XX, and they're pretty easy to install. Just bolt em on, run the harness, and hit a door pin wire on each side. Took a couple hours to make it look nearly like a factory installed part.

I put steps on mine so my wife and kids can get in... Otherwise I wouldn't have them on.

FYI I'm not into off roading, so don't have a need for sliders. I'm looking for function and ease of use for my family...
