    Here are the color codes for the door lock actuators:
    Driver Door: B and R (before the J17 Junction connector) or L (after the J17 Junction connector)
    Rear LH: LA-R and LA-G (LA=Pink) <-- this is the one documented above.
    Rear RH: R and G
    Front Passenger: LG and R

    Hope that helps.

    Doss, I was just killing a few minutes thinking about this and based on Jeffs comments I searched around and found a Tundra write up that did the same but used direct attatch more like the Pop & Lock solution but with an $11 ebay actuator. Do you think this would work? Might be nice solution rather than drilling. I might give it a go for $11 + wire parts etc. have a look and let me know.

    Project page (note - he also goes crazy and adds 2 extra actuators like Doss' to actually open the gate - very clever)

    So looking at that I worry that it would cause the actuator to fail early due to the fact that the actuator will end up moving a little bit each time to account for the rotation of the lock arm. Normally this rotation is absorbed by the rod that you use to connect the lock arm and the actuator.. I dunno just spit-balling linear and rotational forces issues here.. I also don't know how well that little nub of plastic that is used for connection to the lock will hold up... the actuator is always going to push and pull further than this was originally intended to go so there may be some potential for that snapping off and if it did in the lock position that would seriously SUCK... I think it would work though...

    A couple suggestions though - 1 When he makes the bracket he keeps the open end down.. don't do this your actuator is probably going to move this braketry some and will cause it to rub on the inside of the tailgate (can you say rust). 2 put some thick foam rubber under this bracket to deal with the movement and protect the inside of your tailgate even more.

    Good points. I was scratching my head a little bit on the way he mounted it.

    I stumbled into this b/c I was trying to figure out what actuator the Tundra's use and trying to see if I could find a cheap aftermarket version. Still need to finish that search. It'd be nice to find a plug and play solution but either the one offered on here or the one I found would work fine as well.

    @Jeff Lange - could you please dig up the part numbers for the handle assembly and the actuator? [edit] - for the Tundra tailgate handle that you referenced - it'd be great to see if we can use the actuator or an aftermarket actuator -- thanks!

    I dont think so. That looks like it is moving the servo mechanism with the metal on it in front of the latch mechanism to also act like a lock on that '13 which does not have a lock in the first place. The '16 has a lock and DOSS is actually operating the lock mechanism if I understand correctly.

    This is the video that I mentioned that motivated me to do this project. The actuator is different but the wiring is pretty much the same. If you want the Pop and Lock model search for the Tundra installation video. I understand that the handle and lock mechanism is the same on the 3G Taco so that model should fit as a no-drill installation.

    The wiring shown in the video was not the same as my 2016 double cab. The LR door lock wires in the B pillar were Lavender (pink)/Red and Lavender/Green in my truck. The fabric tape around the wire bundle was a bitch to get off and there was very little slack in the wires.
