well im hoping this is normal but it seems since i installed my powertrax noslipp my backlash has become noticably larger. basically when going down the road and i let of gas then get back on it there is a thud from the ring gear striking the pinion. has anyone else experienced this with their locker???

Yea same thing with mine, and when i go from reverse to drive, or park to reverse, there is a pretty noticeable jerk and clunk. People at richmond gears said its to be expected. They also said that sometimes you will hear a pop noise but its not anything wrong. Just what i was told from those guys, i put mine in about a week ago.

    completely stock
i wouldnt think it has anything to do with backlash.

Maybe when letting off the gas it disengages the locker then getting back on the coupler cogs arent lined up and the cogs or making noise re-engaging/meshing.

yeah, open diff=fail. i really expected it to be alot harder to install than it was. hardest part was gettin the damn ring gear off. thought it wasnt ever gonna come loose, but then we blow torch'd that bitch til she got hot and then she came off.
