Hello gentlemen,I have a 96’ regular cab that I want to convert to power windows, but I want oem panels, switches, etc. Do any of you know if I can take the doors off a pre runner or 4runner,are they the same size in length and width. I’d appreciate any information or pictures that any of you would have, thank you all in advance.

I’d like to keep my crankolator driver winder but add a power passenger side winder.

your only obstacle would be the wiring. pretty sure the base model wouldn't have any connectors or provisions for power options.

    maybe source a donor vehicle?

Thank you sir,I found one at my local pic n pull, I was going to go this weekend and measure the doors,as far as wiring goes,my uncle has been working at an auto electric establishment for nearly 30 years now,he said if the doors are the same size he’d wire it up for me on the cuff. I appreciate your advice, have a good day.

I saw OEM power windows once in a regular cab and as far as I know it exists but its really rare, what you could do is try to look for the wiring harnesses at junkyards. otherwise you would have to go aftermarket.

I've done it on my ext cab, it was a lot of work. I used OEM door parts from a double cab and OEM wiring up to the kick panels. From there, I had to make all my own custom wiring to interface between the doors and OEM electrical system.
