    Hi everyone.

    2015 Tacoma trd double cab.

My rear windows are giving me problems. I went to roll them down for the first time in a few months and the window motor runs but the windows are free floating. I can literally move the windows up and down with my hands. I presume they are off the track inside the door. I managed to get the windows to stay up but can’t use them anymore. Anyone else had this issue? Is this just another quirky Toyota thing? (PS: I do lubricate the window seals every few months with silicone lubricant)

Pull the door card. Sounds like the tabs on the bottom of the glass or on the regulator are broken possible broken regulator cable.

If your tabs are pulled off the window, scrape the glue off with a razor, pick as much out of the tabs as you can, and use a generous amount of Toyota FIPG to glue them back in place.

Apply the FIPG to the channel in the tabs while they are connected to the scissor lift in the door, then slide the window down and position it. Raise the windows all the way to clamp everything in place and leave them up for 48 hours.
