Hey all new to installing a powered sub on a stock head unit. I need to run high level speaker outputs for the Rockford Fosgate 8” powered sub. I don’t want to go back to the head unit and run wires. Where is the best place to tap after the head unit to run high levels? Anyone have directions or pics? Thanks

While I dont know if the 2020 headunit has the same issue, on the 2016-2019 headunits, the rear speakers were very very quiet, so tapping into the rear speakers for the sub made a very quiet sub.

So, with that said, in the drivers side kick panel is the plug for the door harness. Go here to tap into the front speakers and then run the wires along the side to where your sub is.

Why exactly are you against going behind the head unit? That’s the best and easiest place for sure

Against it would probably be harsh, I just don’t know that it’s necessary considering a lot of people seem to tap the speakers.
