just had one of the best workouts in my life. after my disc herniation and glute tear nonetheless.

Worked up to 465 single on squat with little to no pain, then did 5x5 with 395.

benched was affected by squats, worked up to 315x5 then backed down with 295 5x5

PR on overhead press with 225x1 it was a grinder but locked it out with okay speed.

10 laps of prowlers, 30 yards with 4 plates, 30 second rest in between.

had to chill in my car for about 30 mins after the workout cuz i was so light headed.

Today was a Squat and bench day, i went in there with full intention to hit my meet opener which is 475, haven't hit that weight in months because of the back injury, Went in there and started at 405 and just did a 10 lb jump every set, When 475 came i put on my fav song and got ready and it was the fastest 475 ever in my life, back is feeling 90% but with some effort i was able to fight the urge to cave in.

Loaded up to 505 and this would be my 2nd attempt on squat at the meet, this was not even in the books 2 weeks ago when my back was hurting so bad i couldn't not do a body weight squat, unracked it, felt good, heavy but good, and went down, looked at my lifting partner for depth check and cam back up, lost hearing mid way locking out and lost hearing near the top but i just closed my eyes and grinded it out. Not gonna lie i got pretty emotional, 2 weeks ago i was squatting with the bar and having so much pain and today i did 505 pretty much pain free.

did some speed squats with 315 and about 80lbs of band tension at top, did 5x5

Went to bench, did some paused triples with 315+ 40lb band tension on top, 3x5 it was rough but i manage to finish it out.

Did 10 laps of 40 yards with a 300lb prowler.

1 month out from my meet, if i can get my deadlift dialed in i might just metal at this meet.

Time to revive this thread. Did some squats up to 325x6 at lunch. Some dumbell bench presses and dumbell rows. Last night was farmer carries, yolk walk, and prowler push.
