Hey guys. Askin for prayers for my dad. Here's the story:

About a month ago, he was having some pain in his nether regions. He's the type of guy that refuses to go to the Doctor, period. After a couple days, his testes started to swell. I was finally able to talk him into going to the doctor. They gave him some antibiotics and said it was probably an infection, but wanted him to go to the urologist. He refused, of course. The swelling went down with the antibiotics, but he says he sometimes still has that feeling like he's been hit in the nuts.

Fast forward to about a week or so ago...

He has a birth mark on his leg, and it randomly scabbed over and was swollen. Again, he refused to go to the doctor about it. He said he would eventually go when the redness and everything went away. My mom called and scheduled him an appointment anyway, but it was like middle of December because he refused to take off work to go, so that was the first available time after he got off work. He never told her he was taking a week of vacation the week before Thanksgiving to go hunting, but he made the mistake of telling me. So I told her, and she changed his appointment to Nov 19. Just looking at it (and reading things online, which is never a good idea) it looks like skin cancer, which can also move to the testes causing them to hurt and swell.

SO...I've been freaking out for a week or so now. He's only 49, and, let's face it, no one wants to think or hear about cancer. I can't wait for Nov 19 to get here, but, at the same time, I dread that day.

All thoughts/prayers/good vibes/whatever you believe in would be appreciated

Is the scab pigmented? ie- is it brown or blue or red? Has it grown in size? What size is it in mm diameter? Are his nether regions still swollen? Any other symptoms? Melanoma is the worst and doesn't typically scab over suddenly. If cancer sounds like Squamous which is typically not invasive and doesn't typically metastasis. Only sure way to know is a shave or punch biopsy. Send it to a dermatopathologist. Either way, my prayers are for you and you pops.

    Thanks guys

Honesty, I didn't see it before, so I have no idea how to answer any of those questions.i mean it scabbed over, so I guess it's brownish. He's goin to a dermatologist, where I assume they'll take a piece of it and send it for tests.
He's not swollen anymore, but he's still having some pain.
