So not taco related but a reminder to get out and use some 2wd cause its gorgeous out there and most of us on this site seem to appreciate being out n about. A recent trip to yosemite valley

El capitan and el cap meadow

Then looking towards the other sode of the valley towards half dome1356ECE9-A28C-4C6A-97FF-9FDE4D43DB73.jpg

Ran up to Mirror lake at the base of half-dome. Super awesome and easy hike. If you wake up early the sun rises over half dome and no one is around.

That upper falls is one of my favorite hikes, but I feel like the elevation climb gets harder every year I do it

Haha seriously, I had minimal trouble one year when I was hiking a lot but every year after that has kicked my ass. And I still hike that trail every time I go, the views make it all worth it. Awesome pics!

Last weekend we ended up heading out to do some light wheeling. We had the pleasure of meeting @Norsemanvike at one of our brewery meets. He has a new 3rd gen that needed to get in the dirt so we obliged him, and took him on a popular trail. Turns out he is quite the lenseman too and took some great shots! Along with @erice they both took some quality pics!

We spent the morning out east trying to get in our fix before the heat caught up with us. @desertjunkie760 had some testing to do for clearance on his new rear suspesion set up, and @eccracer104 also joined in the fun. Just a small set of obstacles to play on, but still fun!

So I finally got around to dealing with the rebound on the front coilovers. And am going to try and find a happy medium with valving. Dont think Ill be lucky enough to get it the first time around. But now Im gonna start playing with shim stacks. So I got the truck back up on jackstands EDE42AE1-F035-419B-8EC0-2378B22A0950.jpg

And took these guys off. I love how easy they are to access. Took all of 20 minutes

    A1CEAEAD-CDFA-4641-8014-C7E699C2F460.jpg

Then I dropped them off with a super cool friend that has access to a spring compressor and waited for him to bring them back the next day. He walked me through rebuilding these guys and was a huge help! If he wasnt there this would have taken twice as long and I would have spilled twice as much oil. It is really hard not to have the piston cause an eruption of oil when its pulled out. It doesnt wanna give at all, then presto blamo, you look like a fat kid who spilled his grape slushy down the front of him. Thank god there are no picks of that haha. And I didnt take too many picks through the process. I also swapped the spacers to make them ext travel.
    2F68562E-A9DC-467D-9008-5BF08ABC67DD.jpg 2516A2E8-F653-4905-9056-D35F44809E74.jpg D70C881E-250A-44CA-8694-D7BDEFE8DBE6.jpg 5DEB6856-5670-4461-B292-A804031A4674.jpg

Now just waiting on them to be charged and the coils replaced and should go back on tonight. All in all this was super fun and really cool to see the inside of the shock and the piston design.

    Thanks Shane you the man!!
