Does anyone know the actual difference between pre 09 and post 09 headlights?

Ok, just there seems to be a break then in the fitment for some reason. When you look them up they come up as 2 different things.

^^can you link what you are talking about? aside from the smoked and the normal models, that should be the only difference. both were available in 09+ and only the normal from 05-08.

Yea, I'm not quite sure why toyota parts lookup separates 05-08 and 09-11 headlamp part numbers? I want to get smoked 09-11 OEM for my 2006 but want to make sure they fit.

DRLs wouldnt make a difference in the headlight assembly. Some of the 09's have the smoked bezels and that woukd make a difference in the part numbers.
