Had an appointment with the dealership today. Of course the warning light wasn’t on and the diag machine didn’t pull any codes... I’ll have to stop by when the light is on or once it sayes, “visit your dealer.” Yaayyy technology... standby.

After nearly a week of rain in San Diego mine has been acting up again. Funny thing is that it was fine when it was raining and a day after the rain my pcs warning turned on. I havent seen the “take to dealer” message yet so ill have to wait. I was really hoping replacement #2 did the trick

My warning light comes on daily. Dealer says that's normal that weather conditions will fog up the lens. I guess Toyota makes the only vehicle in the world that has a daily warning light and says its normal. They always say "you can turn it off" like they want you to do that.

Sounds like a bullshit response from a dealer that doesn't want to fix the problem. They didn't design these trucks to stay inside, there's always going to be weather. Take it to another dealer?

    Resurrecting this thread.

This am on drive to work, I received the PreCollision system error, and ABS check brake system flashing error messages. I took a video, and have since texted it to my advisor. Have an appointment Wednesday this week. Hope the folks above had good luck with their fixes, and mine is as smooth.

Theres a fix for it already. Software upgrade and they apply a sealant around the sensor so moisture doesnt get in

I know about the recall, but thought it was only for false positives, not the entire system on the fritz.

I’ve had my sensor replaced twice already since I bought the truck last Sep. I did the recall about 2 weeks ago and they gave me back the truck with the PCS light on. They said it was normal while the system relearns. I was skeptical but after 300 miles of driving the light went off and haven’t had any issues since. Fingers crossed

Yea same here, im starting to doubt the TSS especially the PCS, theres no way to test it and ive been to situations that PCS should kick in but it didnt. So far the onyl thing that sending me alerts is the LDA but still it sucks.
i have a 2019 forester sport for my wife, Subarus version of LDA gives u an alert, beep and a slight resistance to the steering wheel (its not preventing you, you can still change lane w/o signaling).
Subarus version of PCS is the car will actually give you alert, beep and a slight sudden brake and the driver will do the rest of the braking. It detects walls, people, other cars and even plants.

    Raptor Grill ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Any luck on this yet? About a month ago while driving in heavy rain, my Malfunction lights all turned on (headlights, pre collisions, lane departure). I took it to the dealer and they said the sensors all checked out fine but they can't really do anything else cause I swapped out the grill for the Pro Grill. The warning lights went out for a few weeks, but this weekend while in big bear, they turned back on. I got back to long beach and they have been off for the last few hours. I'm almost ready to swap my stock grill back in just to get them to diagnose it further.

Toyota replaced my sensor I think about 3 times. If you have an original pro grille you should be fine with Toyota diagnosing the problem )although I have the stock OR grille)
No more issues after the last replaced sensor and Im hoping that finally resolved the issue as I am now past my 2 year warranty

Mine got waterlogged in a heavy rain also. Never worked again for about 3,500 miles till I took it to the dealer with stock grille on. They replaced the sensor & realigned it. Worked flawless ever since & I just kept the stock grille with black trim on the truck

I’m afraid I’ll be leaning that route too. That TRD OFFROAD grille is so ugly!

I believe the sensor would be needed to be pointed in the up position since when we install the Pro Grille we are lowering the unit. And it doesn't take much just a normal thick washer can't remember what size.. Can't hurt to play around with different amounts of washers. I even think thier might be a YT video of something like that.
