I just watched that right before you sent it. I also realized that my sensor is only mounted with the one top screw. I’ll need to see if I can find a way to add the side screws.

So I received this same message on my brand new 2021 SR5. I have approx 5,000 miles on it BUT, i just had Safelite repair the front windshield because I got a 12" long crack in the window from road debris (rock) on the highway last week. The truck drove home from Safelite fine (about 8 miles). They said they re-calibrated everything. Today on my way to work i got the PRE COLLISION SYSTEM MALFUNCTION message along with the HEADLIGHT SYSTEM MALFUNCTION message and the LANE DEPARTURE MALFUNCTION message. WTF??? Taking it to dealer tomorrow am. Looked at front emblem (no bugs or dirt), check plugs in front that I could reach (all plugged in).... Im assuming it has to have something to do with Safelite replacing the windshield. I will update when I get it back....

In case anyone has issues, i took my truck to the dealer today and they indeed said it is an issue with the new windshield and that Safelite didnt calibrate correctly. I called Safelite and they said they had another Tacoma come back yesterday and apparently there was a new update they didnt have yet or something and if I bring it back tomorrow theyll fix it. We'll see. They were begging for me to give them a "10" review when I left after the install last week. Glad I didnt fill it out yet.... huge inconvenience.

Just got mine replaced by safelite. Saw your post before my appointment and i was kinda hesitant to move forward. 3 days after the fix and everything good so far. Havent washed the truck yet so Im holding off on their customer service review. Glad my insurance covered it no cost the invoice was for $1050

Glad your truck is as good as it was before the windshield change. Just curious can you tell us what brand glass they used. That price tag is pretty hefty.

I specifically requested for OEM Toyota glass and the invoice reflects that price I believe around $550 and the rest was installation and calibration
