I'm interested in doing a facelift on my 2005 and am curious in the differences between hoods.

I've read and watched everywhere that you need a facelift hood to fit the rest of the facelift however, I'm curious as to how different they actually are. Is it just the shape of the grill that doesn't match up? If so, with a little bit of body work on a facelift grill I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult to fit the pre-facelift hood.

Ultimately, I'm wondering if anyone knows the anwser to this question or has even done it. I'll most likely be trying this soon. Thanks to anyone in advance.

You need a hood for it to fit.
I would not recommend face lifting the truck, the 2012 looks cool but it’s not worth the time, money, or effort

You already have a color matched grill, I’d suggest just getting a new bumper and cleaning or getting new headlights
