    Lol. If you count burning thousands of tax dollars worth of jet fuel on goofy "security patrols and "flare sightings" as heroic.......then I guess that could be true

    Standard rates are $30 per day and $10 for primtive camping. Sat w/camping would run $70(2 days and camping). Not sure what the discount is for military.

    So I should have a new zerk tomorrow to try and get working on the ball joint. I have a feeling its not going to work out but we'll see. It's nice knowing your willing to provide an alternative if my feeling turns out right. I also just ordered an new set of ball joints that will be here in a week or so. Once I get my current ones off I'll start trying to get the warranty claim taken care of and if I end up with a spare set, i'm good with that.

    Ball joints are not something I would worry about carrying a spare of, coming from a guy with a spare set of spindles. You don't have the tools to change one out on a trail, if one breaks just burn your truck and tell the insurance company it was stolen.

    SPC ball joints should be easy to swap. Its only 2 nuts that hold them in place. I already carry the massive socket for the top nut. I also doubt I will actually carry a spare set with me but keep it at the house in case something like this happens again. its only $75 and if needed I can always sell a set.

    I couldn't loosen the ball joints on the set I just sold with a big breaker bar. Things went really wrong if a UBJ catastrophically fails, SPC will be sending you a shiny new one soon, a weekend on one without grease will be no problem. I ran a grease-free set for a long time before they developed play. Better ways to spend your money is all I'm saying.

    @Naveronski @hoarder23 @trekker @SuperBad

    Any of you have a SWR meter that you can bring so I can tune this new CB antenna?

    I have searched all over my house and cannot find mine for some reason.

    Keep checking the weather. Looks like rain all day today, early morning showers tomorrow, and clear rest of the weekend.

    Forecast will keep changing as we get closer.
