Minor superficial adjustments. Planning and researching stage.
I want to know if I can use a multimeter to test whatever pins on the connector lead to the turn signal on my rear passenger light and driver brake/red running light.

I suspect it’s the taillight led panels may be the problem but the truck has 214k+ miles and I need to verify I’m getting a signal at all before I order parts. I need to buy a new meter anyway, and I just need a refresher crash course on what specific numbers and ranges to look for. I feel like I have the aptitude to follow technical manuals but I hope that this is a start of me joking this community and doing up my vehicle as best as I can.

Welcome to Tacoma World. Yes, you can use a multimeter to check if you are getting power/signal back at the tail lights. Lots of videos on YouTube to show how to do that, it's pretty basic just take your time. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply and your patience with my
simple question. I have much to learn about taking care of a personal truck and knowing how to triage my questions.
