At $1000 I thought it might be better if someone sells a cleared carbon fiber hood with a scoop so that we can shed some weight. That OEM hood is heavy! (or at least feels it)

Like fake boobies, who cares if they function. They are fun to play with and look great to a lot of people. LOL

Doesn't look too bad but I like the scoop on the TRD Sport better.

It’s not just the height. Even IF it didn’t block a persons vision (which it does, booster or not, you would have to stick your damn head out of a moonroof to see something if you’re on an incline) The point is that sometimes people can’t help but ruin a beautiful thing. It’s like it’s second nature to them. Or just bad taste.

I swapped mine with a Sport owner. We both thought they were fairly light.

I used the most accurate method possible, I closed my eyes and imagined placing a 6ft protractor over the side view of a Tacoma and found out you have to have a head over height of 9 feet in order for the scoop to not be an issue. Science.

Yeah, I would actually need that stupid ass moonroof if I put a booster in my truck and the skewp still is obstructing in comparison to the standard hood. It's not as bad as what some people stick up on the windshield though like parking stickers or radar detectors.

Or a single head roof dome. But then it goes right back to aesthetics. You can’t win.

In the end it’s personal preference which I default to. But it’s weird to me.

Well, you are an uncivilized midget. (according to your avatar description)

I've never had a visibility obstruction issue with my hood, and I come out of underground parking at a pretty steep incline every day. The scoop itself is only about a foot wide. Either side of that the hood is essentially the same visibility as every other model.

same here, I've driven the OR without it and didn't see much of a difference as far as view.

what I would like to do is paint the entire hood a matte black, the glare in the am/pm sun is blinding.

Weird, Mine without the liftomats feels super heavy just checking the oil. I'll believe you though since you actually took them off.

    A bunch..and no build thread!
Only if you add a few stickers (10-15 HP each, depending on the size).
