Thanks! It is a really great loop, one of the coolest things I have done out there. Let me know if you have any questions.

Yes, if you look back I discuss the camping, but we camped at the below, which is on BLM land the first night, then right near Ruin Park in Beef Basin the second night, also BLM. As long as you are not in Canyonlands, which you do cross into a few times, should be all good. The first set of coordinates is where we camped first night, the second is where I wish we camped the second night, but there was someone there. We ran North to South.

Day 7 came with me still missing gears, so rode bitch again on Poison Spider with @steezemcqueen @teamhypoxia @Squeaky Penguin @Night Eagle @Flboarder @dakotasyota one of the Toytec guys and Okie Dan whose screen name I don't know. We were late to getting on the trail, so we only ran out to the arch and back, still a great trail, a few went down the super steep section near the sand bowl. Crazy steep.

Dylan and I became besties during the event.

We plan on celebrating our first anniversary next year.

    And  that's the photo!

I swear that's the exact same face @Squeaky Penguin aka Nickelodeon aka HomeAlone made when I dropped my passenger rear in the hole on escalator!
That face and his giggling are the only reasons I was able to make it out of there alive.

Day 8 my truck came back to life, after a quick break in of the gears driving to the portos in the morning, headed out to Steel Bender, a trail I had never been on or heard much about, but was on my hit list for the trip, joined by @wrmathis and his lady riding with me as his truck was now out of commission @teamhypoxia (bailed because he was cranky) @09blacktaco @Squeaky Penguin, @Night Eagle, @Flboarder, @Tonto27, Okie Dan and Cody, don't know his screen name either, anyone? Great trail, I took it easy on the new gears and ran most of the bypasses, but you still have to hit the Wall and the Fall, both pretty bad ass. I want to run this one again with a smaller group and hit all of the optional obstacle, of which there are quite a few.

Didn't get any pics of the final climb out of the creek, but that was a really cool spot with a bunch of lines, next time!

While there is usually a fair amount of traffic on these trails, it is definitely better to have another vehicle with you in case things go bad. That said, most people you meet on the trail are usually willing to help out, but best not to count on it. How long are you spending in Moab?

Day 9, the last day of an epic Moab trip. After goodbyes to both old and new friends, I still wanted to hit some trail as I missed 3 days behind the wheel from the busted gears, and decided on Backwards Bill, which is running Wipeout Hill and the first half of Sevenmile Rim, backwards. I have done Sevenmile a few times, and is one of my favorite in the area, and had done the Wipeout obstacle, which is just off of Sevenmile, but never the end of the Wipeout trail. So, this was essentially a new trail to me which is always fun, and joined by my CO comrades @Squeaky Penguin and @09blacktaco. I took the easy line up Wipeout, having done it a few years ago, to save some strain on the gears still, Matt and Brett both made it up the hard line.405.jpg 400.jpg 397.jpg 398.jpg 379.jpg 374.jpg 384.jpg 404.jpg 393.jpg 390.jpg 382.jpg 377.jpg

Hopefully I can do more wheeling next year. Steel bender would have been nice to do in my own truck

I have one but I was turned on to this app called PDF Maps and used it. Not perfect but wow, it's super easy to follow the trails. There's some free ones and others cost. I used a free one the first day in Moab and ended up buying at least one more while I was there 'cause I so impressed. You'll need cell or wifi service to purchase and/or download a map but once it's in the app you don't need service other than GPS. Which most modern smart phones should have now.
