Pre Runner question??

I was looking at buying a 01 taco prerunner. My concern is that it is 2 wheel drive and I live in Ohio where we get hammered with snow during this time of year. Could anybody give me any insite on how these drive in the winter. I understand they have the locking rear diff. but I don't think you can drive with it engaged all the time. I have onlyowned a 4x4 so this is new to me..Thanks advance.

 

I regret not getting a 4x4 quite a bid. It's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

 

Snow...get 4x4. Locking rear diffs on 2 wheel drives don't do anything in snow.

 

I have gotten around on my PreRunner in 6" of snow no problem. I would imagine your part of the woods gets much more than that, and would def require a 4x4.

4x4 would be better than a prerunner, but i mean if you can get a good deal on a prerunner... i have gotten around ok in my prerunner with 265/75/16 ATs here in WI (though 4x4 would be better!). With my setup, my truck does better in the snow than other 2WDs i have driven

 

go 4x4! my prerunner suckss in the snow no matter how much there is!
