Ok, so I have a 2010 Tacoma. V6, 4x4, with the base (black fenders) package.
So far I've been prewired for everything, so just curious what else is out there that I might not know about. Everything I've bought I just simply plugged it in to a factory harness.

    Swapped out so far:
    Wiper switch
    Fog lights
Temp/compass display (even had the sensor in place)
    Rear view camera mirror
    Tailgate camera

What other goodies are left? I'm thinking I got kind of lucky here with the harness.

I'm subb'n to this..I've been doing the same thing (only I have a 4banger, same year, base, 4x4).

Mine had about 95% of the cruise control pre-wired. Was only missing the clutch switch wiring.

Have the intermittent wipers. 5 minute job.

The others are on my list.

I'm curious if remote locks are pre-wired.. I'll be digging into that this summer.

I have the same truck it was not pre wired for locks I had to buy a viper aftermarket kit which i would not recommend it works about half of the time

Salvage yard for the part of the door lock harness that's missing? Maybe it's just a bridge that will plug right in. And yes, I've run across the viper systems being problematic mentioned in other threads.

Your post has inspired me to add the intermittent wiper switch. I also just ordered the Cruise Control parts.

Please tell me about the temp compass display? I'd may do that one next if it's not a big deal.

I think that might be my next try. Trying to find out what the bed part plugs into. Is there a harness end back there?

The wiper switch is the best one. Cheap ass Toyota. Still can't believe it didn't come with them.

Compass display was probably the easiest one. One screw and a little prying, and the sunglass/garage door overhead console pops right off. There was a plug up there, and I plugged it into the new console. The temp sensor that's under the hood by the radiator was already installed too, so I didn't even have to plug one of those in.

Is the temp and compass display under the radio or in the mirror?

Why stop with things that are prewired. I added heated towing mirrors, under hood lights, bed lights, and a LED light bar.

Anyone have those wiper and cruise control part numbers for a gen2? Mines going in for the frame recall anyhow if I can't figure out the install I'll have it done when they do the recall.

Not to thread jack, but I do recommend the LED interior lights. Plenty bright for most lighting needs:D
