It was a house sale where equity was transfered within the family. It was fairly complicated and still only took me explaining it twice to the bank consultant to get it done. The next day everything was as it should be in all accounts. In fact, in order to do it across banks, a certified cheque was moved which is as good as cash. I know that because after the house was transferred the person at the bank I was working with talked about carrying the certified cheque across the street to make things go quicker to meet a deadline I had

Bullshit! And they never say no. What a load of crap. Stop with this fear mongering already.

And since you're so smart Hawaii has been a State for well over 50 years. Just thought you should know...

Or because large cash transfers are reported in case a crime is involved... Which is the truth of the matter.

Anyways, once again this conversation has gone deep into the :tinfoilhat: domain so I'm out. No point debating conspiracy theories with someone who has bought in.

Maybe you should youtube AML and CTR you might learn more things!

A bank must electronically file a Currency Transaction Report (CTR) for each transaction in currency (deposit, withdrawal, exchange, or other payment or transfer) of more than $10,000 by, through, or to the bank. Certain types of currency transactions need not be reported, such as those involving "exempt persons," a group which can include retail or commercial customers meeting specific criteria for exemption. Refer to the core overview section, "Currency Transaction Reporting Exemptions," page 86, for further guidance.

You are right, those are the real negatives of silver.....

That is why I always say long term..... because how long can the bear market last?? no one knows so you have to be able to hold out till it's a positive trade.... so if you need quick cash don't get PMs.....

But saving accounts are a liability so you have to do something with your cash because you carry all the risk and no reward.....

With PMs you have to understand trading cycles and you also agree the price is down, so you want to buy out the bottom of the cycle and that where I think we are............

I said 5000, or try 3000, there is no reason to ask me what I'm doing with my money, it's mine........ Well it was till I gave it to the bank, now I'm investing with the bank..... That will be another lesson..... and yes I know about money reporting.........

The point is there are no RESTRICTIONS, they may REPORT an excessive transaction but you will never be denied access to your funds. Again stop with such nonsense.

And when was the last time you took out more than 2000???? go try and see how weird they act if they give you the money.....

We don't have that much, the safe is locked or you need to come at a different time are some the BS excuses given, even for business use..........

And 2000 or 3000 is not that much money......

lol I love this thread sometimes.

I went and took $10k out of an account for a big purchase just a couple months ago and the bitch didn't even flinch! And that's me, an average joe blow college student. The only thing that happened was it took a little longer to process everything because it was a decent chunk of money.

Yup. They just have to record what they are doing for the authorities in case you happen to also be a drug dealer :D.

The banks aren't limiting withdrawals. To suggest so is just silly.

550 points is an apocalyptic crash that will cause $1000 silver prices?

Btw the dow only moved down 290 today... not 550.

I’m still here, haven’t bothered to read all the post I missed. I’m just patiently awaiting what I stated is coming and to say “I told you so”. Still holding onto my PM's and bear market ETF.
