For guys that hate silver you sure hang out here a lot........

Joking and sarcasm doesn't change that silver is a good buy......

If you don't believe the economics of silver, supply and demand are good enough.......

But every point for silver is, " tin foil hat stuff" :frusty:

Are you guys trying to sell me or your self that every thing is "OK" but the fed is still in panic mode and you guys know so much more than the fed...

How about the 18 trillion in debt.... Explain to every one what steps the gov has taken to lower the debt... Ding, ding, ding your're right, try to start another war, wait that cost money.... you loose, sorry....:(

Avoiding this stuff just shows you guys are only here to troll, so troll away.....:lalala:

Bottom line is you guys are still learning about PMs.....:D

So the prices that aren't being fixed...

Gold contracts 225 to 1, so 225 digital contracts for every 1 oz of gold because the banks are pulling their gold back....
So there are the same amount of naked shorts but less available gold, less supply with the same demand.....
I have no idea but I'll guess that some how the price goes down again....

Silver has gone down for 4 straight years! Great buy, in fact it'll keep getting cheaper making it an even better bargain.

I thought we were getting back on track with PMs as an investment? Seems like you've turned this into a numismatic coin collecting thread which I'm pretty sure you'll agree is not the same thing. Now back on topic.

We are on track, in this market you have to find coins that could have some numismatic value.....
PMs investing is coin investing, that is why you don't understand it, we aren't buying silver for jewelry, we are investing in coins.....
    So lets stay on track..

but here you go 1.99 over spot...

I too would like to bring this back from a silver promotional thread to PM's. Any thoughts on where palladium is going? It's been in freefall for the last 6 months and I don't know if we're approaching an inflection point anytime soon

Oh no you're sadly mistaken. PM investing is done at the spot, in an ETF or bullion. Numismatic coin investing is not PM investing. Maybe you should get back on track. This is the Precious Metals Investing thread not the "speculating on numismatic coin thread".

Telling everyone to hoard silver because the dollar is being replaced as the world's reserve currency and that we will all see the Dow plummet to 5,000 based on a youtube video but that it's not really silver but a collectible coin who's value is only determined not by a spot price but by other enthusiasts and horrible margins is not investing.

I'd love to help you but I only track gold, silver and copper.

I'm not an expert on palladium but I believe all the things I've been saying apply to all the PMs to some degree.....
Palladium is in much shorter supply than silver and is secluded to run out sooner so I see a shortage in the future.....

For all the PMs you have to understand the "tin foil hat stuff" or just economics and how money works... Gold and silver are used for investing and are the real money our system is based on so they could hit harder and faster....
So I would say all the PMs will hit around the same time just at different amounts....

I think I'll dig into it.....

Me too. I'm interested in other PM's but have taken much time to educate myself. I was interested from a diversification perspective but wasn't sure if palladium would function as a hedge or simply a substitute investment.

Thinly traded PMs will reslt in much wider spreads and swings. If you can handle the volatility you should consider it.

You have to know why you are buying it.... and why other people would buy it....
On just supply and demand palladium may be better than gold or silver but gold and silver are used as money so they will hit first and harder..
But palladium to is being shorted and is a smaller market so it won't take much.... a couple of rich guys get in and party over....

I'm not really into thinner markets (never got into pink sheets) so I'll look into daily volume to see how it compares with more established PM's. I think the only copper I own is currently being put to work moving water around my house.

When you compare the daily volume of the PM ETFs you will see a huge difference:

    GLD 4.1 Million
    SLV 3.38 Million
    PALL 10 Thousand
