I cut mine in half for my access cab. There are no seats in the back so don’t need steps in the back.

But the bar is tucked in under the cab it doesn't functionally as a step either. It's just a piece of aluminum that looks like a slider.

Exactly. The urge to cover the frame from a side view is real. Don’t need a step. Don’t need sliders. Yanked my Oedros off cuz they were but ugly and not as clean a look as I want. Plus they rubbed my calf’s

They came stock on my 23 Sport and am debating on removing them. As others have said the steps can be an obstacle to navigate exiting your seat. The only useful thing I have found is they are a great place to rest your boot to tie the laces :anonymous:

I'm part of the minority here, but I think they complement looks of the third gen. I've had them on the truck for quite some time now and while they take a while to get adjusted to initially, they are quite functional for different folks that have ridden in my car. Super lightweight and functional for everyday usage and reaching for things on my roof rack, however if you hit the off road trails pretty regularly, you'd probably be better off without them.

Check these out they hug the rocker panel hiding those ugly pinch welds.

I’m just running the OEM aluminum tube steps (without the additional welded on step like the Predators ).

They tuck in too tightly to be really useful as steps and they can brush up against your pant leg if you aren’t careful, but they do a nice job of hiding the pinch seam and frame side.

I guess the steps are my admission to truck vanity.

I've got the OEM cast aluminum side steps, pic below (not my truck). Overall I'm pretty happy with them, only hit my shin on them once. I think they look much better than the predators and haven't gotten pinched offroad yet. Would I replace them with rock sliders? Absolutely, but they serve the purpose for my short wife given that my truck has a 2" lift.

Had them on my 2017, did not get them on my 2021 because they collected snow and got my pant legs wet when exiting the vehicle.

My Taco came with them. I took them off right away and sold them. They are worthless. They bolt to the cab. They are damage multipliers at the sill (ouch!) if you happen to hit anything.

The actual step bits are not quite located where they should be for use as steps... And they hang low. They are very light aluminum and as was said above - grass will bend them. They are only strong enough to tweak your shins (again, because the steps are not located where they should be)

    Pros:
    - They are lightweight (You'll might still get a few buck at the recyclers').
    - They are found for sale often for little $$ (for the reasons above)

    Cons:
    - Everything else

And had you opted for the tube steps from the dealer it would have been 50k! Now let’s talk about these tube steps I have for sale for $300!

If these are Predators, their alright. They come in handy for cleaning your windshield. I've never used them to get in, but had a few girls that seemed to like them.

I kinds liked these when I looked on their site (all aluminum).
The steps on the Predator step get my pants dirty, and a trip to north county last year had 50 lbs of snow (seemingly!) and ice build up on the steps - I need an alternative... the boards keep many rock chips from happening ( I drive on gravel alot) so just deleting them is not the answer for me....suggestions welcomed

Wouldn’t it be best to just get rock sliders at that point? Its good against neighboring car doors when mall crawling
