Only time I've ever used them was to stand on the passenger side to clean that part of the windshield. I always open the door and stand on the drivers side door sill to clean the rest of it. I can do that on the passenger side too.

Maybe it's an illusion, but without them seems to make my minor lift look taller.

Main reason I've not removed them is I know they'll sit in my garage or shed till I get sick of looking at them and toss them. I doubt there would be much of a local market for them, especially since they probably only fit a access cab. Sure as hell wouldn't want to ship them. Probably cost mass.

So...y'all think I should leave them on or take them off? Sloppy photoshop job.

Take off just the driver's side and you have the best of both worlds. Noone looks at the passenger side of their truck. You can still clean the windshield and look at the pretty side of your lifted truck. You're welcome.

do you take it off road? I think they look good but they can be inconvenient when off road, if you stay mainly onroad or on basic dirt roads I would keep them on.

Looks good on or off. As for cleaning the windshield, I have one of these. Easy to store in my garage when not being used.

Bought mine new in 23. After the second shin smack they came off. It’s not a monster truck. I don’t need that much help getting in. I honestly don’t like the looks either. I sold them on Craigslist for $300

I took mine off, sold them for $250ish, and replaced with 6" wide running boards. More functional, some door protection from the dings, and some protection from gravel being kicked up by the tires.

I like the look of these for sure but I find the function to be a bit iffy.

If a foot slipped through that opening upon entry while rainy or slick or whatnot I imagine one could
twist and ankle ( or worse ). I have a set what are closed so my little foot can't get stuck in there...
    or a child's foot.

Also, being shorter, I find it very useful for entry and exit. If I were tall, good looking and rich like
the work-order called for it would be a different story, but someone messed up at the factory.

    A-Cab rules.!

Image isn't great, but you might make out the difference in these ( closed innards ).

Great points made on both sides of the discussion. I think I am going to keep my Access Cab with No steps. My 5’ 0” wife is fine with getting in the passenger side using the grab handle.

Here is a tip for those with No steps. Keep your rocker panel well waxed. I had 2 previous vehicles where the rocker panel paint showed some wear from my jeans getting in and out. Actually, I wax my Tacoma rocker panel and don’t buff it off for extra protection. That far down the un-buffed rocker panel is hardly noticed.
