Hi all, this post may be a little confusing but here's a little backstory. I have/had a $800 deposit with Premier West Gears in Riverside for a re-gear on my JKU. I don't have the Jeep anymore and was unable to use the deposit beforehand. I'm unable to buy a new Jeep or 4x4 that I could use the deposit on in the meantime. It's been too long for me to get a refund with Premier West so I called them and was able to work out a deal that can hopefully help me as well as another member.

Miguel at PWG said someone can take over my deposit and then pay the difference if they want to get their vehicle re-geared there. Again, my deposit is for $800 and all you would have to do is pay me $500 (for the $800 deposit) and then pay Premier West the remainder for your re-gear, locker installation, REM polishing, etc. It's in effect a free $300 if you had already planned on getting your truck re-geared anyway.

I know it's a little weird and may sound sketchy but it's the only way I can get any of my money back. I've spoken to Miguel at Premier West and he said it's fine. Give him a call and tell him that Neal with the Jeep said I can take over his deposit and he/we can set something up. I'm in San Diego but I'll meet you at Premier West Gears when you pay off the rest of the deposit for your truck and for exchange of funds.

You can call Premier West Gears first to verify everything of course. He knows of the situation.

(Mods, I sent a PM this morning but I haven't heard back, I hope this is ok.)

Just curious, what were they going to charge you for the full job? I need to regear an 8" e-locker and wonder how much your $500 would cover.
