The Alpine power pack? Indulge me for a sec. If I go w/ this option, besides what I currently have Kicker door / tweeters. What else would I get? Yes I am a complete rookie here. Side note, would this even be in the same ballpark vs a JL Stealthbox? This option is like ~500 OTD, the Stealthbox setup I am looking at is upwards to 1500 when I am done. I am no audiophile, so I dont want to overspend on something that may not be that much better for my ears.

There should of been a separate bag of black screws, if you bought it from Crutchfield.

    This was the part #

    Metra HWP-0001

3 of the 4 holes line up on the bracket, I had to drill a small hole into the mount to screw in the 4th hole.

I found the screws/clips but no instructions came with the mount. It doesn't seem too obvious either. The clips provided don't match anything.

Throw out the clips. On the fronts I had to use larger diameter screws and only 3 of 4 holes. The rears worked fine with the supplied screws for the fronts.

I ran the speaker wire through the grommet hole, then Noico'd over the hole. I pealed back the grommet enough to put the wire through.

The Powerpack is a small 4 channel amp. It has more output than the stock head unit in the truck, but probably not a lot. It’ll have an easier time driving your speakers than the head unit will. It’ll definitely be louder, but if the source you use, like Bluetooth, is crap, you’re amplifying crap.

No, the Hideaway can’t have the same output as the JL Stealthbox, but unless you’re looking to jar your fillings loose, the Hideaway adds adequate low end.

Thanks for that info. Did you overlap the Noico over the edge of the speaker hole. If so how much goes to other side. I'm trying to understand the easiest way to cut and measure the noico. Do people cut out the spots for the screw holes before they stick it on the door or after? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to be prepared, this noico stuff seems to be the most time consuming to me.

Great question. I actually covered the hole, used the roller on it, then cut the hole out. no overlapping. As for the screw holes, when you use the roller around the hole, you will see where they are, simply cut the noico around the shape. The first door takes the longest. After that, you get a really good idea of what you are doing. I used 1 sheet per door.

With that one sheet you should be able to put a strip above the crash bar on the outer skin of the door, as well as below the crash bar & around the speaker hole. Rolling the strips inside the door is a bit of a pain in the ass, but you'll be fine.

I just used a short screw driver handle and rolled with my palm. I used the rounded back side for tight spaces. I don't think I had any adhesion issues and it looked decently smooth.

    Anyone install the
    44KSC6904.

They are also on sale, and have only one tweeter. May be a better match for our truck?

I think that would be a better choice. Originally that was my plan. I think the 3 ways is too much.

Those 2-way speakers are a woofer and a tweeter. So you'll still have double tweeters up front and give up a mid-range speaker.
