Damn, just finished installing the door speakers now. 1.5 hours total and then some tuning. Really great sound. At max volume my drivers side door sounds like its going to rattle apart though lol!

Does the entune deck have pre-outs for the Kicker Sub? Or would I have to go with a aftermarket deck?

All of install updates are in the first post.

No pre-outs required. I strongly suggest using the Metra pigtail harnesses listed in the above thread. It makes life so much easier and with the exception of the power and ground totally plug and play (aside from soldering the harnesses together with the Hideaway harness). Ground I went under another ground point and power I went right to the battery. If you ever removed the hideaway there will be no hacked OEM wiring.

Just had Best Buy drop in a alpine power pack. Sounds great! They love the extra power for sure. I think I’ll do the kicker hideaway next... sending the taco tunes kit back ASAP

I have already replaced the tweeters, and I just ordered the door speakers. I have read through all 130 pages of the thread and I am still undecided on the sound deadening. If I could skip the $40 and the hassle of doing it would I be ok? Or is it really worth doing?

I bought the sound deadening but then opted to not install it . It sounds great highs to lows. For me it wasn't worth the time to install the sound deadening .

You might get the benefit from the fast rings. I have no idea what it would have sounded like had I not done them, but I'm more than pleased with the bass level and I have zero rattling.

Are they essentially a foam ring that goes between the mount and the door?

Yes, the magnet and the door. Also around the mounting brackets so there is foam between the door panel and speaker so no rattling.

I was able to peel the foam ring off of the OEM speakers without damaging it and use it on the replacements, and I wrapped wires with foam as well to avoid rattles. Other than that, no additional deadening.

My thought was I already had the doors apart, adding the Noico literally took about 10-15 minutes per door.

Did you tear the plastic off or go over it?
