Awesome! Glad you picked them up... you could use other tools to pry things apart but most of what I would have used would be metal and the plastic kit is far less likely to scratch. Looking forward to come other reviews in here as folks get their kits set up!

 

If you want to test your bass in your new setup, I'd suggest giving Mushroom Jazz 8 a listen - not normally my thing, but I listen to some retro house stuff from time to time for workouts and it sounds badass. If you want to test the sound staging, Steam Engine by My Morning Jacket from It Still Moves album is pretty telling. Live performance that has that chamber echo sound in the vocals that was nondescript on stock speakers. You feel encompassed by good live recordings - that vocal reverb is pretty awesome. I'm a Deadhead at heart though I listen to all kinds of music.

I'm finding myself going back through my collection more and more since some of the more obscure live stuff sounded so crappy on the stock speakers. The Kicker setup brings things back to life!

Yes indeed. Mark Farina was in Nashville celebrating the anniversary of the original Mushroom Jazz over the summer - it was a fun show, and I was reminded of my age as I looked around at all of the 40-50 somethings who have no business at a "rave" @ 2am chugging red bull in lieu of things that likely got many of us by 20 years ago Great music never gets old though!

Yeah man! The guy is German. Sounds like he's straight out of the slums of Jamaica. And the live band is so good.

 

Primus, Rage Against the Machine, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Zeppelin, Nirvana. The simple stuff for us old timers. And it all sounds good on my system now.

Did you have to modify the rear mounts too, I only had a minute to look at the pic and the speaker would not mount the same way as it showed.

 

All of my stuff got delivered today and everything looks good. But I probably can't get to do the install till Friday, gonna go fix my Ex-GFs Dryer tomorrow and Thursday is also no go too.
